Position Title:         One Position Available: Para Pro/Instructional Assistant for Summer Learning Program;

Report To:               Summer School Coordinator

Classification:         PSE Union Represented Position, FLSA Non-Supervisory, Non-Exempt

Compensation:       PSE Salary Schedule for Instructional Para Pro

                               This position is paid by time card submitted by the 10th of each month.  

 

 

The 2026 Wahluke Summer School Model  is to provide in-person instruction to Kinder-8th grade students in reading, mathematics and enrichment, while fostering academic growth, building student confidence, and creating engaging learning experiences that prepare students for success in the upcoming school year.

Class Schedule:          June 22 - July 28, 2026

Hours of Operation:  7:30 am - 3:30 pm Monday-Thursday: shift begin and end times will be staggered to accommodate length of work day.

 

 

Duties and responsibilities:

 

QUALIFICATIONS; DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES:

 

REQUIRED Education:

Must meet state federal guidelines for Instructional Assistants by having an AA degree or 72 quarter hours or 48 semester college credits or documentation of successfully passing the state approved assessment.  

 

Physical Requirements: This position typically requires: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. Medium Work: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally with assistance, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move can carry objects. Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, odors, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, and intense noises.
