Bus Driver, Substitute; on-call, High School Diploma or GED preferred. Valid Washington State Driver’s License

Ability to successfully complete school bus driver training programs and courses established by the school district.

Ability to obtain school bus driver’s authorization; commercial driver's license; school bus endorsement;

first aid card and passing of a Washington Patrol/FBI fingerprint background check. Willingness to work with children in a kind and caring manner; Be of general good health;

Position:                    Substitute School Bus Driver

 

Reports to:                 Transportation Supervisor

 

Salary Range:             Substitute pay rate: $24.00 per hour

 

Classification:            PSE Union Position; Classified; Non-Exempt

 

Basic Function:          on an "On-Call" basis.  Operates school buses under all types of weather conditions including but not limited to fog, rain, hail, sleet, snow, and ice. Transports students and other authorized persons over regular “to and from school routes, and on field, extracurricular and special or extra activity trips as authorized by the school district officials.

Generally, the job requires 90% sitting, 5% walking, and 5% standing. Required constant talking, hearing and seeing and the noice level is considered moderate. The job is performed under exposure to outdoor weather of all seasons with some temperature extremes and in a clean atmosphere; frequent repetitive hand and arm motion
